Welcome Message
Welcome! Our church's website exists to meet the needs of her members, and to help those members in times of hardship. We worship together as a community of Christian Coptic Orthodox believers. We support one another’s values and common beliefs through love and respect. We nurture the faith of our members in a variety of ways including divine liturgies, sunday school programs, spiritual meetings, and social activities.

Prayers' Request for Egypt
GOD REVEALS AND MAN RESPONDS
GOD SHOWS HIMSELF TO US SO THAT WE MAY BELIEVE
MAN RESPONDS BY:
•
OBEYING OR DISOBEYING
•
ACCEPTING OR REJECTING
•
LOVING OR HATING
•
BEING FAITHFUL OR UNFAITHFUL TO
WHAT HE HAS BEEN SHOWN
MAN IS NOT A ROBOT, HE DOES HAVE A CHOICE
SALVATION IS NOT A TRAP
IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, IT IS BECAUSE GOD HAS CHOSEN TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU FIRST
OUR CHOOSING GOD AND REMAIN IN HIM IS EVIDENCE THAT HE HAS CHOSEN US
WE CANNOT BE SAVED UNLESS WE CHOOSE TO MAKE JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR
OUR CHOOSING TO FOLLOW CHRIST IS A NECESSARY STEP IN BECOMING A CHRISTIAN
SALVATION IS A GIFT. GOD MUST OFFER IT FIRST SO THAT WE CAN ACCEPT IT.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT GOD UNLESS HE REVEALS HIMSELF TO US FIRST.

Epiphany's Lakane and Divine Liturgy - January 19/20, 2012:
Our beloved Church celebrated our Lord Jesus Christ's Baptism at the hands of St. John the Baptizer. The feast is called in Greek the Feast of Theophany or the Feast of the Revelation of the Divine Nature of the Lord, for the Holy Trinity was revealed: our heavenly Father was heard from heaven saying, "This is My beloved Son," and the Son standing in the Jordan river, and the Holy Spirit was descending in the form of a dove, and alighting upon Him.
We started by El-Lakane prayers. All the congregation were blessed by El-Lakane water. Right after, the Church prayed the Epiphany Divine Liturgy.
This feast has become a great feast for all believers, in which they are purified with water after the example of the baptism of our Lord, to Whom is the glory, to obtain forgiveness of their sins.
Glory, honor and worship to our Lord God, now and forever more and to the end of ages. Amen.

Weddings' Anniversaries in February:

On this day of the year 341 A.D., the great saint Anba Paul, the first hermit, departed. This Saint was from the city of Alexandria, and had a brother whose name was Peter. After the departure of their father, they divided the inheritance between them. When his brother took the greater share, Paul's feelings were hurt, by his brother's action. He said to his brother, "Why don't you give me my rightful share of the inheritance of my father?" Peter responded, "You are a young man, and I am afraid that you might squander it. As for me, I will keep it for you." When they did not agree with each other, they went to the governor to judge between them. On their way, they saw a funeral procession. Paul asked one of the mourners about the deceased man. Paul was told that he was one of the noble and rich people of the city, and that he left his riches and his wealth behind, and that they were taking him to bury him with only his garment.

Our beloved Church celebrated the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate God in the Flesh from the virgin St. Mary. Holy Lent (Feb 20th to Apr 14th)
The Power of Fasting (By H.H. Pope Shenouda III)
One of the first things we consider when planning a trip is where we are going — our destination. Great Lent is a very special trip. It is a holy pilgrimage which, if understood and planned properly, can lead us to the very mystery of God's mighty act of sacrificial love and glory.
Great Lent takes us to Calvary where the Lord Jesus redeemed us from the bondage of sin, death, and Satan himself. But our destination is the lord's glorious Resurrection by which everlasting life in God's Kingdom has been assured to those who in faith and love follow Him. The significance of this spiritual pilgrimage is that it affords us the opportunity to renew experientially both the death and the newness of life that the Lord's saving act makes real for our lives in Baptism.
