To give you a little background about the Youth Group at our church: They are a group of University and College Students and Graduates that have come together as one under this church. The Youth Group are active in the church and its services.
This is a group of young adults coming together for their love of one another, their love of God, and their love of service! The Youth Group welcomes all those interested in becoming part of this group to join them in any of their meetings and services.
"Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let they heart cheer in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgement" (Ecclesiastes 11:9)
High School’s Blue Mountain Trip (Mar 14 to 16):
Our beloved church organized a trip for high school students to Blue Mountain from MON March 14th to WED Mar 16th, 2011.
It was fun getting together with the spirit of love and great opportunities to take a break from schools.
The trip' schedule included:
o Divine Liturgy
o Bible Study
o Sports
o Trip tour
Youth Basketball Tournament - Jan 29th, 2011:
Our Church's Youth organized a successful and outstanding Basketball Tournament between other churches' teams from Ontario on Saturday January 29th, 2011.
The day started at noon with a prayer, followed by multiple Basketball games' competition till 09:00 PM. The day was ended by the Vesper prayer, followed by a prayer meeting dedicated for Egypt, asking our Lord Jesus Christ to protect and save our country, all the people there, our church, and our families there.
The Basketball team from St. George Coptic Orthodox Church won the Tournament competition.
We thank the SMSJB' Youth team for an outstanding organization to this sport's event.

Universities and Grads' Trip to Greece - June 19 to 29, 2011:
Our Universities and Grads meeting members enjoyed very much their trip to Greece from June 19th to 29th, 2011.
They visited our Orthodox Church in Athens, prayed liturgies there, and visited multiple places there, e.g. Metora Monasteries, St. Paul, Market of Korenth, Santoreno Island, and Athens.

High Schools' Basketball Tournament - April 30, 2011:
Our Church organized a successful Basketball Tournament for High Schools' Youth between other churches' teams from Ontario on Saturday April 30th, 2011.
The day started at 11:00 AM with a prayer, followed by multiple Basketball games' competition till 05:00 PM.
Our beloved Fr. Daniel distributed prizes for all participants and Medals for the outstanding performance. It was a great competition, full of fun, and enthusiasm.
We thank the SMSJB' High Schools' Youth team for an outstanding organization to this sport's event.

SMSJB First Soccer Tournament - July 02nd, 2011:
Our SMSJB beloved church was delighted to host and sponsor her first Soccer Tournament for Grads, Youth Boys and Youth Girls on Saturday July 02, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 09:00 PM.
It was an outstanding sport's event where the majority of Churches all over Ontario contributed together and competed in a love spirit. There were more than 12 teams that were grouped in 3 streams for competition.
+ St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church came first for the Graduates
+ St. Catherine Coptic Orthodox Church came first for Boys
+ St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church came first for Girls.
Fr. Daniel Bessada distributed medals and Trophies for all winning teams and he declared a successful and outstanding event where everybody enjoyed the day and appreciated the effort to organize this great event.
SMSJB would like to thank all participants who spent the time and effort, and contributed in great manner to fulfill the churches' youth needs and praise the Lord in all churches' activities.
Special thanks to Temon Rassem and Basil Tadros for their great efforts to organize this event. Everybody felt and witnessed a well organized day.
Christian Youth Channel (CYC) covered and taped bits and pieces of this event and will broadcast this event later.
SMSJB is thanking the Lord for His Holy Hand who fulfilled our needs before we ask or seek.

High Schools Graduates' 2011
Congratulations to our High Schools' Graduates - Our beloved Church celebrated their Graduations.
On behalf of Fr. Daniel Bessada, the Board of Deacons, and the entire Congregation, we thank the Lord for your achievements of this great milestone and we wish you all successful and joyful Universities' studies.
May the Lord Bless your lives for His Glory and for a fruitful career endeavor.

High Schools' Trip to Florida (August 22 to 27, 2011)
Our beloved SMSJB Church organized an awsome trip to Florida for the High Schools' group (Y for C Group) right after St. Mary's Feast Divine Liturgy.
The Y for C Group enjoyed all activities in this trip. They appreciated their leaders' time and effort and they acted in one spirit.
"Well organized and tons of FUN - 6 days were not enough. How about a month?" Y for C' comments post trip.
Folks, please be reminded that your next Y for C meeting will be on FRI September 09th @07:30 PM.

Reaching-Out Ministry Presentation - November 06, 2011:
The FTFT Youth Group (First Timothy -
Four:Twelve), a Youth Group from New Jersy visited our beloved Church on SUN November 06th, 2011 and conducted an interesting presentation to the entire Congregation right after the Divine Liturgy about "Reaching out the Community".
They shared successful tips and techniques about the Reaching-out ministry, exciting stories about their blessed ministry, and how to think outside the box.
On behalf of the entire Congregation, we would like to thank the FTFT Group for their time and effort. We ask the Lord to bless their ministries and looking forward to seeing them again on their next visit to Ontario.
Poetry Night - November 25, 2011:
SMSJB Youth Group organized their first Poetry Night on FRI November 25th, 2011. It was an outstanding event where all the Youth from multiple churches and Youth Groups were invited to present their poems, spoken words, their songs, etc. Around 15 acts were presented in a professional manner.
This event explored lots of talented Youth. They can rhyme their words and deliver significant messages. Everything was well organized, and refreshments and snacks were served at the end of the event.
Every participant and audience are looking forward to repeating this event.
