Do you know the Coptic Alphabet?
It's an opportunity to learn our church's language.  There are 32 letters in the Coptic alphabet. The first 25 are derived from the Greek letters that have their origin in the Egyptian Hieroglyphic script, the last 7 letters are directly derived from the Egyptian Demotic Script.
It was the language that our Lord Jesus Christ - as a baby visiting Egypt with St. Mary and St. Joseph - heard and spoke. Remember Egypt was the only country our Lord Jesus Christ visited outside his home country.  Click on the videos below (7 parts) to learn the Coptic language:

The Holy Bible
The Bible is a collection of individual books that together tell the story of a group of people bound by a common faith in God. It is divided into two main sections: the Old Testament originally written primarily in Hebrew, and the New Testament originally written primarily in Greek. The Bible is the means by which Christian believers come to understand how God has been present with humanity since the beginning of time and is present in our world today. The Bible, is the source of truth, the standard for meaningful life, the revelation of Jesus Christ, the key to true freedom and liberty, and true food for man's soul.By studying the scriptures we can begin to know of God's faithfulness, constant love and eternal goodness.
We remain devoted to using the richness of God's Word for discipleship, the effective training in Godly character, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to know Jesus and experience his endless love! Our desire is that out of a heart of thanksgiving,
we would express our love for our Savior through a lifetime of devotion to our Lord, and ministry to others, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Talents' Show during Church's Pre-Lent Gathering and Dinner
SUN Feb 27th, 2011
Our beloved church organized multiple trips during the March Break for all ages.  It was fun getting together with the spirit of love and great opportunities to take a break from schools.
The church's kids visited the following places:
o  Movie Day – JK to G6 (FRI Mar 11th, 2011)
o  Tumbles ‘N’ Toys – JK to G2 (MON Mar 14th, 2011)
o  Leisure Lanes Bowling Centre – G3 to G6 (TUE Mar 15th, 2011)
o  Ontario Science Centre – JK to G6 (THU Mar 17th, 2011)

With the spirit of Love, the Church's Congregation got together for the Pre-Lent dinner on Sunday February 27th, 2011. 

It was a special occasion where the people enjoyed the Talents' Show our beloved kids, High School Youth, and our Youth performed.

This show included multiple talents for painting, reading, music, singing, playing music instruments, sports, and a theatre performance.

Abouna Daniel distributed prizes to all contributers and all attendees appreciated the talents' performance and the efforts. 

We ask the Lord to reward everyone who participated in this Talents' show and prayed for this fruitful gathering.

First Kids' Summer Camp at our beloved Church (July 19th - August 26th, 2011)
"We've been learning and having fun - Thank you our beloved church for making our summer' time a wonderful and blessed time - We Love Our Church" - A message quoted from the Summer Camp' Kids (July/August' 2011).

What made this Summer Camp fruitful and joyful are the multiple activities:  Bible study, Hymns, Drama, Arabic and French lessons, Coptic language, Choir, and on top of them the Sports activities, Craft, and the weekly trips.

All these criteria were behind the high average of kids' participation.  The kids crafted a beautiful St. Mary's frame and gave it to our beloved Fr. Daniel Bessada in the occasion of St. Mary's Feast.

God bless our beloved kids and all our church's ministries.  God reward you all many folds.

Mahragan El-Keraza' 2011 Closing Ceremony - October 02, 2011

Pumpkins’ Carving Event - October 22nd, 2011:
Our beloved kids enjoyed a fall event “Pumpkins’ Carving”.  They came together, carved the pumpkins and came up with funny shapes. 

Every kid was excited to finish off his/her project.  They came up with funny shapes as shown in this event’s photos (Please visit the Multimedia Centre and choose the photos of 2011 to view more photos).

Our beloved SMSJB Church organized a successful Fun Night for our kids on MON October 31st, 2011. 

The Church took this opportunity to boost the kids’ knowledge about the Saints’ life.  We started the evening by the Thanksgiving prayers and ran through the night’s program:  Saints’ presentation, ‘Guess who I am?” Saints’ demo and prizes, kids’ fun games and prizes, crafts, painting, cookies’ decoration, snack’ time, and chocolates and Candies’ bags for each kid.

We thank you all for your time and effort to make this event a successful one.  The kids loved it.

Kids' Fun Night - October 31st, 2011:
A colored touch of love and care - November 04th, 2011:
Our beloved kids (G6 to G8) showed a colored touch of love and care to their beloved SMSJB Church. 

They took the initiative, painted their SUN’ School class and re-decorated it.  This crew spent more than 6 hours to show how they care about their Church.

It was a good workshop to get together and accomplish a valuable mission to our beloved Church. 

God bless them all.
G1 to G6 Church' Sleepover - December 16 and 17, 2011:
Thank You Lord - Our beloved SMSJB Church organized a successful and fun event for G1 to G6 kids.  This is our first church' sleepover for our beloved kids on FRI Dec 16th to SAT Dec 17th.
There was a couple of programs for each day.  FRI' program included an opening prayer, funny games, snack time, movie time, story time about St. Nicole of Mora, prayer and sleeping time.
On SAT, the program started by the morning prayer followed by gym time, bible contest, play time, telling funny stories, craft, and lunch time.
The kids did not want to leave back home as they enjoyed these programs and posted a request to repeat this event in the near future.
We ask our Dear Lord to reward all the people who invested a tremendous amount of efforts and time to manage and direct this event.  We thank our beloved kids for their commitments and great behavior they showed in the first sleepover event.

Kids' Trip to Disney on Ice - December 28, 2011:
Our beloved Church organized a trip to Disney on Ice in downtown Toronto on Wednesday Dec 28th, 2011.  More than 50 kids of our Church and some families joined this trip.

They enjoyed more than 65 of Disney's unforgettable characters from 18 beloved stories that came to life in Disney on Ice when celebrating 100 Years of Magic!

Our beloved kids were captivated by Mickey Mouse, the irresistible Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio and many Disney Princesses.  The exciting moments from The Lion King, Mulan, and Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Toy Story films created a skating spectacular filled with magical Disney moments.

Our beloved kids shared together a snack time with lots of fun.  Thank you Lord for the great time and God bless our Church's ministries.
